Taikoo Li Sanlitun recognised as "National Tourism and Leisure Open-Lane District"

Taikoo Li Sanlitun is now one of two destinations in Beijing officially listed in the 55 "National Tourism and Leisure Open-Lane Districts" selected by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism. The judging panel applauded Taikoo Li Sanlitun as an area in Beijing with a vibrant night economy, recognising its high level of commercial, cultural and tourism integration, distinct lane-driven design, and strong cultural atmosphere after years of operation. The panel also acknowledged its open-plan design, which has attracted a diverse range of businesses, allowing it to house a number of flagship and concept stores and gain a reputation from the media as the "Harvester of First Stores".

Opened in 2008, Taikoo Li Sanlitun is home to approximately 300 retail shops and restaurants as well as luxury hotel The Opposite House. Taikoo Li Sanlitun West, an innovative urban regeneration project situated to the west of the existing development, was launched in December 2021.
