Winter sports fever boosts consumption in Taikoo Li Sanlitun

Taikoo Li Sanlitun has adorned its shops and streets with Olympics-themed art installations featuring ice and snow amid the unprecedented winter sports fever brought on by the ongoing Beijing 2022 Winter Olympic Games. At the southern zone of Taikoo Li Sanlitun, Winter Olympic mascot Bing Dwen Dwen – a cuddly panda with an ice crystal shell – winks at visitors from a huge LED display. The Games are expected to help increase purchasing power and boost consumption. Taikoo Li Sanlitun is also stepping up its efforts to be the city's literature hub. On a street connecting the northern and southern zones, consumers can read Games-related books at the 24-hour Sanlian Taofen bookstore, and participate in Olympics-themed book discussions and activities hosted at the Chunfeng Xixi bookstore.
