It was reported that Swire Properties has sold an industrial building on Tsing Tim Street in Tsing Yi at nearly HKD1.1 billion recently. The property is currently a five-storey industrial building with a total floor area of about 186,000 sq ft. It was believed that capital from this transaction will be put into future commercial projects and core assets. Swire Properties plans to invest HKD100 billion over the next decade, one-third of which is aimed at Hong Kong commercial projects. According to the news report, the Company has been selling non-core properties in recent years, including Cityplaza One and car parking spaces in Taikoo Shing.
