Swire Properties has been expanding its commercial footprint in the Wan Chai and Admiralty areas, with a commercial development at 46-56 Queen's Road East that is expected to be completed next year.

On 2 June 2022, the Government announced the proposed construction of a pedestrian subway at Queen's Road East to connect the existing Queensway Subway and the above project, aiming to further enhance connectivity and accessibility between MTR Admiralty Station and the Wan Chai area. The proposed construction will extend the existing pedestrian link between MTR Admiralty Station, Three Pacific Place and Starstreet Precinct, where the artwork "Parade" (2020)" by artist Julian Opie that depicts 62 dynamic characters, is on permanent display.
