The Upper House focuses on memorable experience and sustainable development

Kristina Snaith-Lense, General Manager, The Upper House, said the hotel has risen above the pandemic by continuing to focus on making people happy through creating memorable experiences and striving to become the leading sustainable development performer in the industry globally by 2030.

Snaith-Lense said, during the pandemic, the hotel brought much needed sunshine to its guests by offering comforting meals at the Continental and Salisterra, as well as wellness events and programmes. To support sustainability, the hotel collects lightly used bathroom amenities for redistribution to those in need, in collaboration with Soap Cycling, while minimising landfill waste. At The Upper House, single-use plastic has been eliminated from in-room consumable items. The hotel has also installed a water filtration system at Salisterra to reduce waste.
