The Miami City Commissioner has approved an application by Swire Properties to amend an area plan that would allow for larger floor sizes at its 1,000-ft tower at One Brickell City Centre in Florida. The floor plates will now range from 40,000 sq ft on taller floors to 60,000 sq ft on lower floors, with the building capped at 2.85 million sq ft, making them the largest ever approved in Miami. A Swire Properties spokesperson stated that One Brickell City Centre would be the most dynamic office building in the city. Construction for the new project is likely to begin early next year.
