Miami homes top global gains list with Brickell City Centre

US cities fill four of the top five slots in Savills' new worldwide index of prime residential real estate, with homes in Miami and Florida gaining 12.5% in six months and topping the index, defying pressure from rising interest rates. Fortune International Realty cited Brickell City Centre, developed by Swire Properties, as one of the most important Asian developments in Miami now. The project consists of four luxury residential high-rises, an expansive shopping centre with designer brands, dining and entertainment facilities, a hotel and a office building. Brickell Key, a private man-made island, also spearheaded by Swire Properties and includes a five-star Mandarin Oriental hotel, is said to be another popular project with Asian buyers because of the privacy and security the island provides. It is expected that Asian activity in Miami will continue to increase given the real estate market is in its prime compared to other areas of the US.
