White Christmas Street Fair and "Seasons in Continuum" to celebrate Swire Properties and Quarry Bay's development

In celebration of Swire Properties' 50th anniversary, the Company's annual community event, White Christmas Street Fair, will transform Tong Chong Street, Taikoo Place, into the "Bloom & Beyond" Christmas garden from 1 to 4 December 2022. This year, the Street Fair is organised and run by eight students from the Swire Properties Placemaking Academy, who drew inspiration from Swire Properties' past placemaking efforts. The Street Fair will feature life-size attractions, Christmas shopping, food and drinks, handicraft workshops and live performances.

To echo the Company's SD efforts, 5,000 Christmas flowers upcycled from old fabric provided by Cathay Pacific and Swire Hotels will decorate the fair. 29 booths will offer a wide range of Christmas, home furnishing, fashion and skincare products. To enrich the fair's food options, Taikoo Place will collaborate with EAST Hong Kong, enoteca and Pici. Visitors can take part in a "Bloom Your Garden" handicraft or charity photo op with Santa Claus, which will raise funds for Operation Santa Claus.

Striving to be a zero-waste event this year, most installations and prints are made from fully recyclable D-Board and FSC certified materials, while some installations will be made from the new technology of 3D printing with reversible sand.

Swire Properties is also presenting "Seasons in Continuum", a commissioned botanical art series set at Taikoo Place from now to 31 December. Created by Hong Kong-based floral artisan Kirk Cheng, the exhibition is inspired by Swire Properties' transformation of communities and the continuous evolution of its placemaking over 50 years.
