EAST Hong Kong has in place extensive efforts to contribute towards Swire Properties' SD 2030 Strategy and strives to incorporate environmentally friendly practices while providing high quality services to its guests.

The hotel focuses on three main areas, namely water conservation, energy conservation and waste management. Using 2018 as a baseline, the hotel plans to reduce water intensity per guest night by 6%, cut electricity usage by 21% and achieve a commercial waste recycling rate of 52% by 2025. EAST Hong Kong has also introduced a vast list of sustainable practices, including the use of built-in induction cooker that allows for more efficient energy conversion in the FEAST kitchen; paperless practices across guest room services; avoidance of the use of single-use toiletries and plastic; and the use of recycled items for Christmas decorations since 2014.
