Swire Properties utilises AI to improve operational efficiency and safety

Hong Kong mall owners and retailers are increasingly using artificial intelligence (AI) analytics to find out more about shopping habits and customer preferences – a tool that is likely to help them revive sales and also improve operations. Swire Properties currently uses AI to manage construction work and safety, beyond boosting sales. A Company spokesperson said that AI helps improve the operational efficiency of developers and that the Company has trialled AI-powered drones to aid with lift shaft inspections in Two Taikoo Place in Hong Kong, as well as AI-powered close-circuit cameras for facade inspections at Taikoo Hui in Guangzhou to reduce the risk of incidents and manual inspection costs. Swire believes that originality and innovation are the key cornerstones of its development strategy. To enhance its competitive edge, the Company constantly explores new technologies to keep abreast of the latest technological developments and trends.
