The Creative Transformation of Taikoo Hui Guangzhou Places Impact Report was launched

Since opening in 2011, Taikoo Hui Guangzhou has become a frontrunner in Guangzhou's high-end commercial sector, attracting many renowned international brands and new luxury labels to set up shop in the development. Moreover, Taikoo Hui’s community-oriented design provides a unique model for seamlessly integrating retail, office and residential space in Guangzhou.

Swire Properties and the South China University of Technology recently launched “The Creative Transformation of Taikoo Hui Guangzhou” Places Impact Report, a systematic assessment ofn the transformation of Taikoo Hui based on four key elements of placemaking: vibrancy, livelihood, wellbeing and resilience.

Yang Yanwen, Chief Architect of Guangzhou Design Institute, pointed out that Taikoo Hui Guangzhou's strength lies in its accessibility, unique spatial planning, and incorporation of arts and culture into its daily operation. According to the report, Taikoo Hui Guangzhou’s regular public programmes and initiatives play a vital role in nurturing innovation and culture. These efforts not only encourage the development of new ideas but also set new trends in the area. It has also helped to build deeper relationships with local communities and authorities. Jessica Huang, General Manager of Taikoo Hui Guangzhou, said, “This collaboration has deepened our understanding of what makes a great place. With this in-depth research at hand, we're excited to continue creating and maintaining high-quality and vibrant spaces that serve our communities and contribute to building resilient cities.
