Since 2020, Swire Properties has been collaborating with Muuse to operate a smart reusable cup programme. Through the Muuse App, the office community and visitors at Taikoo Place can borrow a reusable cup from selected F&B outlets and return it to any of the five designated return stations within 30 days. Currently, over 10 F&B tenants are participating in and promoting the programme by offering various special deals. Since its launch, the programme has prevented the disposal of over 17,000 single-use coffee cups and has accumulated more than 1,700 active users.

Patrick Ho, Deputy Head, Sustainable Development at Swire Properties, said the initiative is highly encouraging and represents a positive stride for both consumers and companies in waste reduction and sustainability promotion. Looking ahead, the programme plans to introduce reusable meal boxes following the completion of an internal trial.
