Swire Properties has implemented a robotic system to conduct field water tests on the curtain walls of Six Pacific Place. Performed at height, these tests ensure the waterproofing of windows and other glass installations. Raymond Kwok, MEP & Innovation Lead, stated that utilising robots to perform high-risk tasks can improve worker safety and reduce the test time by approximately 20%, thereby enhancing overall efficiency. In addition to the water test robots, the Company has integrated multiple robotic systems into its developments since 2022. Kwok believes that the introduction of robotic technology can guarantee the quality and efficiency of work while attracting younger generations to the construction industry.
