In 2023, Swire Properties rose from fourth to second place in the Dow Jones Sustainability Index (DJSI) – Real Estate Management and Development industry. Out of over 260 companies assessed worldwide in the category, the Company ranked No. 1 globally in the “Environmental Dimension” score and fifth in the “Governance & Economic Dimension” score for its exceptional environmental, social and corporate governance (ESG) performance. Notably, Swire Properties has been a DJSI World constituent company for seven consecutive years and is the only Hong Kong constituent company to make the list in 2023.

Chief Executive Tim Blackburn believes that the No. 2 ranking recognises the Company’s efforts to integrate sustainability into every facet of its business and brings it several steps closer to achieving its Sustainable Development 2030 vision of becoming a global sustainability leader in the industry. He added that the Company will continue to expand its capabilities, innovate and experiment, and pioneer new ground in the sustainability space.
