Swire Properties’ placemaking efforts have been recognised with the recent achievement of WiredScore and SmartScore certifications. Mark Celenk, General Manager, Pacific Place, said that digital connectivity, building resilience, technology and sustainability in property management are some of the key components of the Company’s placemaking strategy. Swire Properties is the first real estate developer in Hong Kong and the Chinese Mainland to set science-based targets aligned with the 1.5°C pathway and approved by the Science Based Targets Initiative (SBTi). The Company strives to achieve net-zero emissions by 2050.

Celenk cited that Six Pacific Place and Two Taikoo Place are among the top 0.6% of market-leading smart office buildings globally, having received WiredScore and SmartScore Platinum certifications.

Furthermore, Taikoo Place and Pacific Place are the first portfolios in Hong Kong to be WiredScore-certified, with all assessed office buildings achieving WiredScore Platinum certification. This once again demonstrates the Company’s commitment to providing excellent digital connectivity for tenants, as well as enabling smart building management and greater productivity in its office towers.
