The Upper House was announced number four on the list of The World’s 50 Best Hotels 2023, based on votes compiled from 580 seasoned travellers who have stayed in luxury hotels across 35 different destinations on six continents. Speaking at the celebratory reception, Chief Executive of Swire Properties and Chairperson of Swire Hotels Tim Blackburn expressed appreciation for the Government and the Hong Kong Tourism Board for their commitment and concerted efforts to attract global audiences. He believes the reopening of borders will likely provide a boost to the industry, but emphasises that more work is still needed to revive the city’s tourism industry, including attracting young talent to the sector.
