Swire Properties is in the final phase of developing Brickell Key in Miami, said President Henry Bott, Swire Properties Inc. The Company is spending over USD1 billion to build two towers as part of the One Island Drive project, which encompasses an 800-ft-tall condo with 222 units, including duplex penthouses, and a smaller hotel building with 151 rooms, 28 hotel residences and 61 private residences, both under the Mandarin Oriental brand. In early 2025, the existing Mandarin Oriental hotel will be torn down to make way for the new development. Sales of the condo tower will begin in the second half of 2023, with prices starting at about USD3.5 million for a two-bedroom unit.

One Island Drive’s two towers will be connected by a 600,000-sq-ft podium with parking, coastal gardens and landscaped infinity pools. The project is adjacent to Brickell City Centre, another Swire development completed in 2016, which will be further expanded to include a 1,000-ft-tall office skyscraper in partnership with Related Companies.
