Swire Properties has acquired a 40% interest in a site located on Wireless Road in Bangkok, which is one of the city's most prestigious addresses, for residential development. The interest was purchased from HKR International Limited for THB2.4 billion (equivalent to approximately HKD570 million). The acquisition marks Swire Properties' first investment in the Bangkok property market.

Tim Blackburn, Chief Executive, Swire Properties, said that the investment represents a rare opportunity for the Company, and that Bangkok is currently one of the most exciting emerging markets in Southeast Asia, with significant potential. Swire Properties will continue to explore further opportunities to bring its premium residential brand to the region.
