As part of Art Basel Hong Kong, Pacific Place is currently displaying Gravity, a massive 10-metre-high artwork by Los Angeles-based conceptual artist Awol Erizku. The king-sized installation marks the first time artwork from the fair’s Encounters sector is presented offsite. It will be showcased in the mall until 2 April 2023. Gravity is modelled after King Tutankhamun, the antepenultimate pharaoh of ancient Egypt, and explores the idea of timelessness and presence in pop culture.
