Quarryside, a new community space in Quarry Bay, officially launched on 17 June 2023. It makes gainful use of a vacant government site and will provide a new venue for the benefit of the wider community. Located at Hoi Shin Lane and spanning over 3,700 sqm, Quarryside features a diverse variety of public multi-functional event spaces, including the Dockyard Theatre, Workshop Space, Community Kitchen, Indoor Function Rooms, an open lawn and a pet-friendly green space. The venue is operated by St. James’ Settlement and sponsored by the Swire Group Charitable Trust.

Chief Executive of Swire Properties Tim Blackburn said the Company has called Quarry Bay its home for over 50 years. By sharing Swire Properties’ rich placemaking experience, the Company hopes to help make this space a vibrant destination that will strengthen the local community through shared values. Secretary for Development Bernadette Linn said that Quarryside is a prime example of cross-sector collaboration among the Government, NGOs and the private sector.
