Swire Properties fosters art and culture in placemaking efforts
In the second edition of the "Bi-city Youth Cultural Leadership Programme" sponsored by Swire Properties, 16 university students from Beijing and Hong Kong were selected to join a two-month exchange programme between the two cities. During the programme, the students engaged in learning and exchanges on various topics, including the preservation of Chinese culture, the future of cultural enterprises, and the application of technology and innovation in cultural promotion. One student expressed their astonishment at the programme and discovered the potential for merging business, the arts and culture.
Swire Properties Chief Executive Tim Blackburn said the Company is committed to planning more internship programmes to provide students with opportunities to participate in the Company’s new projects and facilitate the integration of young talent into urban development in the future.
In addition to its existing developments, the Company is developing Taikoo Li Xi’an, the Company’s seventh development in the Chinese Mainland. The upcoming project is located in the Small Wild Goose Pagoda historical and cultural zone.
