On International Panda Day (27 October 2023), The Temple House in Chengdu, Sichuan collaborated with the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) and One Planet Foundation to present the "Gifts from Nature" event in the heartland of giant pandas. This event aimed to raise public awareness for all endangered wildlife and their habitats, including Chinese Mainland's national treasure – the giant panda.

The event marked the first-ever collaboration between WWF and The Temple House, offering consumers direct access to eco-friendly agricultural products sourced from communities located near the protected areas. This unique initiative also provided attendees with valuable insights into the conservation efforts associated with these crops. Tony Xu, Executive Sous Chef of The Temple House, along with his talented culinary team, carefully curated a concise and innovative six-course menu featuring 16 such eco-friendly ingredients, highlighting the inherent beauty of local produce.
