Swire Properties partners with Singapore start-up for reusable cup programme

Swire Properties has partnered with Singapore-based start-up Muuse to introduce a smart reusable cup programme at Taikoo Place. Customers visiting partner food and beverage (F&B) outlets can borrow and return reusable stainless steel cups and food containers via a mobile application. Swire Properties is the start-up’s first and largest partner in Hong Kong. The programme has prevented the disposal of over 15,000 single-use coffee cups into landfills since its launch.

Muuse shared that the programme has effectively addressed challenges such as limited space and transportation costs by engaging an F&B tenant at Taikoo Place to wash the returned cups, resulting in improved efficiency and sustainability. The start-up also acknowledged Swire Properties for their support in engaging more F&B outlets to adopt Muuse’s service, enabling more people to benefit from the reusable cup programme.
