Patrick Ho, Deputy Head, Sustainable Development of Swire Properties, announced that the Company is expanding its selection of reusable cups and improving designs to meet the diverse needs of collaborating vendors within its smart cup network at Taikoo Place. The Company is also introducing reusable lunchboxes in two different sizes as part of the programme’s extension, aiming to reduce the use of single-use lunchboxes.

In 2020, Swire Properties piloted Hong Kong’s first smart reusable cup network at Taikoo Place, enabling customers to borrow and return reusable cups through a mobile application. Since its launch, the programme has garnered over 1,000 active users and prevented the disposal of more than 16,500 single-use cups.
